Home Start's Masquerade Gala took place on May 2nd and celebrated 35 years of service within the San Diego Community. It was a fantastic success! Over $75,000 was raised to benefit local programs that prevent child maltreatment, and provide assistance to victims of abuse. The gala was held at the beautiful El Cortez in downtown San Diego with Geni Cavitt as Mistress of Ceremonies.
Important community partners: Stacy Matseas, Qualcomm, Inc., and The Jacobs Family Foundation were recognized for their contributions to Home Start. A Home Start board member, Paul Davis, was also recognized for going above and beyond the call of duty for the organization. There was a full house, with over 200 guests in attendance who danced the night away to the music of The Heroes. Guests were treated to the delicious cuisine of ChileCo, and were provided with exciting auction items to bid upon. The evening proved to be a great time for Home Start supporters, while raising much-needed funds for programs.
