But intentional injury, exploitation
and serious neglect happen to thousands of vulnerable children every day of the
year.
Since 1972, Home Start has delivered proven strategies to end the cycle
of child abuse in the home and community.
Our services:
- reduce stress on the
family before a potentially dangerous situation escalates,
- strengthen parents’ ability
to respond in a healthy, positive way to their child’s developmental
needs,
- and
address the need for intensive therapy for children who have experienced traumatic
abuse or chronic neglect.
The Blue Ribbon is the nationally-recognized symbol
of Child Abuse Prevention. For a donation of $25 or more
per month, you can help Home Start prevent child abuse in the San
Diego community. In appreciation of your support, you will
receive a Blue Ribbon lapel pin to show you care about keeping
kids safe and are doing something about it in your community.
